harles "Chuck" Fuller, 76, passed away at his home on June 4, 2016, following an extended illness. Chuck was the son of Frank and Alice Fuller and older brother of Fran (Stuart) Boyum of Kasson, MN.
Chuck was a lifelong resident of Owatonna and attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1957.
On September 3, 1960, Chuck married Bev at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Chuck was employed with the US Postal Service for 37 years. After retiring he took on a part-time maintenance position at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for 16 years.
Chuck's passion in life was baseball. He coached, played and umpired for 55 years with Bev running the concession stand by his side. He was inducted into the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991. He also received the Loren "Mike" Downes Memorial Award for outstanding service to amateur baseball in 1993. Following 43 years of umpiring at the high school level, Chuck was named to the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame as an umpire. In May, 2003 he was inducted into the Owatonna High School Athletic Hall of Fame for his basketball, baseball and community achievements. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 30 years and an active member of the Owatonna Bowling Association for over 50 years and an inductee in the Owatonna Bowling Association Hall of Fame.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Bev, his children, Michele (Ed) Riffe, Michael (Maureen) Fuller, Robyn (Scott) Hager, Patrick (Lisa) Fuller, his grandchildren, Tony (Heather) Fuller, Rose (Jonathan) Bayeff, Jacob (Katie) Riffe, Matthew (Katrina) Fuller, Jared Fuller, Benjamin Hager, Jonathan (Samantha) Fuller, Nicholas (Katy) Riffe, Nathan (fiancé Shannon) Hager, Brandon Hager, Phillip (Kelly) David-Fuller, Tommy David-Fuller and Stevie David-Fuller, and his great-grandchildren, Anthony, Andrew and Aaron Fuller, Odin, Oliver and Miles Fuller and Osiris and Garrett Riffe.
