Harlan Dammann

Harlan was elected as a player, a president of the Hamburg Baseball Club, an announcer, and a field developer. Harlan began his amateur playing career at the age of fifteen and continued playing until the late 1980's. He became president of the Hamburg Baseball Club in the early 1980's and served in that capacity until his passing in 1993. He served a co-chairman of the state amateur baseball tournaments in 1983 and 1988. Harlan committed untold hour to the development of the Hamburg Park and facilities. He was known as the "Voice of the Hawks" for his smooth and professional style in the public address booth. He was instrumental in starting the Babe Ruth baseball program in Hamburg. He was very active in the community as a member of the Lions and as a member of the volunteer fire department
